Ingredients :

• 4 cups whole wheat flour
• ½ teaspoon salt
• Water (as needed)
• 1 teaspoon oil or ghee (optional)
• 1 cup onions
• 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
• ½ teaspoon red chili powder
• ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
• ½ teaspoon garam masala
• ½ teaspoon amchur
• 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• Ghee or butter (for roasting the parathas)

Preparing the Dough for making paratha -

1.Take flour in a large bowl and add salt. You can also add celery to the flour and add 1 spoon ghee dalai.

2. Add water gradually while kneading a soft and pliable dough.

3. Knead the dough and keep it covered for 20-30 minutes, due to which the dough will become soft and the parathas will become tasty.

Preparing the Onion Filling :

4. Finely chop onions and place them in a bowl. You can also chop the onion larger.

5. Add green chillies, fresh coriander, carom seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala and salt.

6. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

7. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into small balls.

8. Take a ball of milk and roll it into a small disc shape. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the onion filling in the center.

10. Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled-out paratha on the hot tawa.
