- 1 cup grated fresh coconut
- 2 tbsp roasted chana dal
- 1 green chilli (adjust as per taste)
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 2 tbsp curd
- salt to taste
- water as required

- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon urad dal
- 1-2 dry red chillies

How To Make Coconut Chutney Recipe
Step by Step Direction

Step 1. First of all, Add ½ cup grated fresh coconut in the grinder jar.

Step 2. Now Add 2 Tablespoons of Roasted Gram means Fried Gram. You can also add roasted peanuts instead.

Step 3. You can add 1 to 2 chopped green chillies, more or less as per your choice, add ½ inch chopped ginger, 2 small cloves of garlic and add 2 tbsp roasted chana dal. Add 1/2 tbsp Cumin Seeds And salt as per taste.

Step 4. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons water. If you like eating, you can make this chutney thicker by adding less water.

Step 5. Now Turn On The Grinder Jar And Start Grinding Everything That Is In The Jockey.
Note : As long as the chutney does not become smooth, then take out the chutney in a bowl or check the salt. If we are not liking the salt, we can add more.

Tempering
Step 6. Now for tempering, heat 1-2 teaspoons of oil in a tempering pan and once the oil is hot, add 1 broken red chili, 6-7 dried curry leaves, 1 pinch of urad dal, 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seeds. As soon as the leaves start to become crisp, turn off the gas and add 1 pinch of asafoetida.
