Ingredients You Need for Tomato chutney:
- 4 large ripe tomatoes ( finely chopped )
- 1 medium onion ( finely chopped )
- 2-3 garlic cloves (finely chopped )
- 1 inch piece ginger ( grated )
- 2 green chillies ( chopped )
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Fresh coriander, chopped (for garnish)
How to Make Tomato Chutne :
1. Heat oil in a large pan on medium flame. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
2. Then lightly brown the cumin seeds in it for tempering.
3. Now add onion, green chilli, garlic, and ginger and also add a little salt. Mix all the ingredients until they become soft.
4. Now add chopped tomatoes in it.
Note: If you remove the peel of tomato then it will taste like chatni or bhi bhedh jata hai. Mix them well. Cook the chutney for 5-7 minutes so that the tomatoes become soft.
5. Let the chutney cool.
6. Put the chutney in a blender and blend it so that a thick paste formed.
Note: If you have decided to grind the chutney on it then let it taste like this chutney has been tested.
7.Let the chutney cool.
8. Pour the chutney into a blender and blend it to form a thick paste.
9. Chutney is ready. Serve it with hot roti, paratha or dosa.
